Who are We?
We are a digital media and consulting company co-founded by sociologists Luke Hanna, MA and Dr. Stephanie Wilson, PhD. Applied Worldwide Sociology Consulting offers services to a variety of clients in multiple sectors with the goal of using sociological skills and insights to enhance clients’ projects, programs, and small businesses.
Why Sociology?
Sociology is the scientific study of social interactions, groups, and institutions, which makes it uniquely adaptable to a wide variety of industries and issues. Sociologists use theories about the social world and scientific research to produce evidence-based insights relevant to individuals, organizations, and institutions. This “multi-level” approach allows us to customize our strategies for every client, at every level.

How We Work with Clients
Our diverse set of clients requires a diverse set of work approaches. With that said, our first step is always to learn as much as we can about our clients and their most pressing needs. We always provide the opportunity to share concerns and goals with us in your own words. We listen to your concerns and goals, take notes, discuss options for moving forward, and propose a collaborative approach that ensures our skills meet your needs.
Our goal is to personalize our partnership with you to maximize the benefits of working with us. From there, we draw up any necessary contracts and it’s time for us to get to work!
About our Director of Consulting Services
Dr. Stephanie Wilson, our Director of Consulting Services, is a social scientist with expertise in health disparities and qualitative research. She spent time as a Master’s student conducting community based research for governmental and non-profit organizations and eared her PhD in Sociology from Purdue University in 2021.
As a consultant, Dr. Wilson has worked with clients on a variety of projects from political campaigns and historic preservation projects, to federally funded healthcare research. She is versed in a wide variety of research methods, with a keen ability to use sociological evidence to provide innovative, adaptable solutions for all our clients.
